Since its inception in 1980, Artspace111 has evolved into a dynamic contemporary art gallery located on the outskirts of downtown Fort Worth. The gallery focuses on emerging and mid-career Texas artists working in a variety of media.
Artspace 111 continues its unique tradition of incorporating working studios into its exhibition space. It is here
that artists are able to come together and create not only art, but a creative community. Monthly shows, as
well as the open studios, keep the artists’ newest ideas before the public eye.
Artspace 111 is dedicated to its vital role in the city of Fort Worth, and to making contemporary art
approachable to individuals of all ages. With its sculpture garden and its distinctive architectural character, the
gallery offers a striking setting to host fundraisers, as well as corporate and private events, and is also available
for tours and other social gatherings.

July 6 – August 19

Eric Stevens Orchid No2 oil on canvas

Artspace111 presents a solo show featuring the work of Daniel Blagg. This exhibition marks only the second time in over 30 years that Daniel Blagg's had a solo show at Artspace111. The much-anticipated show will feature Blagg's ongoing series entitled Thrashing About featuring Letters from the Boneyard. Blagg's body of work includes numerous scenes of dilapidated Vegas signage and everyday urban landscapes. Blagg is determined to document the disappearing cultural landscape of America through his paintings.

Blagg's Thrashing About exhibit will open Fall Gallery Night, Saturday, September 12, 2009, 2 - 9 pm. Guests are invited to savor lite bites from Functions Creative Events, enjoy beer and wine by Ben E. Keith, and water by Acqua Panna/San Pellegrino. The artist reception is free and open to the public. There will also be a private (invitation only) preview party where long time patrons and collector's of Blagg's work will get a first glimpse of the artist's newest masterpieces. The exhibition will be on display through October 14, 2009.
