“From the Street”
Open from March 21-May 12, 2008, featuring artists Hatziel Flores
and Ray Albarez. Inspired by the graffiti and urban landscape that surrounded them in their early years, their artwork continues to grow and expand, never settling in one style or subject for too long. What pours into the canvas is stylized life and snapshots of feelings that they are grateful to capture. Through their artwork, Hatziel Flores and Ray
Albarez bridge the gap between cultures and generations. They stand as a testament to the rise of graffiti as a legitimate form of art.

Gallery Night, March 29 at 7:30 p.m.
Artes de la Rosa will present "Carnival", an evening of Brazilian culture. Enjoy a festive evening filled with live Samba music and dance, a food sampling from area restaurants along with a silent auction. Enter to win our “Best Mask Contest”. Price $35.00 100% of the proceeds will be matched by Amon G. Carter Foundation.
